FORM 4B
This year Form 4B is a comparatively small class with only twenty-
six pupils. Unfortunately we have had to share our room with some 4A
demons.
Up-to-date our school work has not been too bad, but there is room
for improvement in the future. We are a little behind our 4A friends in
the Academic subjects but we do well in the Industrial subjects.
Our behaviour in general is fair, although there are a few boys
that like a little tomfoolery during school time. Errol and Charles
seem to be the main offenders here. A certain maths, teacher could
verify this statement.
The class is well represented in the field of sport. Six of us played
football for the school, Neville Smith being the captain of the 8 stone
71b. team. Many more are very interested in this game. Four of the
lads helped make up the school’s athletic team. Selwyn Loynes repre
sented the school in quite a few events.
We have decided that the district needs a bus service with a strict
timetable. A certain boy in the class, on being asked his reason for
being late for class always complains about the buses not being on time.
Actually we think Bill likes to sleep in occasionally.
As a final word, the boys in 4B wish all candidates in the forth
coming examinations the best of luck.
FORM4C
Form Captains : Dennis Harris, Judith Cafferky.
Into the room devoid of rule
Strides Miss ---------- , now no time to fool,
Mr. Cafferky next takes a hand,
And I can guess you all understand
What happens, if one to watch the blackboard fails,
Even under Mr. Hazell’s gaze quails.
Hark ! Some marching feet quite near ?
Captain Griffith I declare I hear
All these teachers are very diligent,
They strive their hardest to make 4C intelligent.
I hardly think Form 4C needs an introduction as I am rather sure
that we are quite notorious (in more ways than one) throughout the
entire school, but, for all those who live out in the mulga, and have not
heard of us (or about us) there is every possibility that they soon will.
Carol Heazlewood is the scholar in our Form, but Glenys Jarrett
runs a good second. All our ability does not lie with academic subjects
as we have three sprinters, Leonie Allen, Barbara Hutton (sorry no
relation) and Yvonne Farley. All three represented the school at’the
G.P.S. Annette Howells and Judith Cafferky also were members of
the G.P.S. team.
Although ours is mainly a ladies’ Form, we have some representa
tives of the weaker sex, seven in all. but they are well represented in
the sporting circle. Douglas McKercher is the A Grade tennis captain
and Norman Wright is also a member of that team. Robin Love holds
the junior shot-putt record and is also a cricketer. Dennis Harris is
reputed to be a crack shot (not doubted by any member of the Form!
and was discovered when in camp. All the rest (but not excluding the
ones already mentioned) are none the less notorious in other spheres.
Now on behalf of the Form, Form 4C, I say “thank you’’ to all our
teachers for their tolerance throughout the year, and extend to all
candidates for important examinations at the end of the year, “all the
very best”.
