                                                               DBihar to visit the archaeological site of Nalanda.
                                                           In the 5th century CE, King Kumaragupta of the Gupta
                                                           Dynasty established the Nalanda Monastery, which later
                                                           became a renowned Buddhist university and a leading
                                                           centre of Buddhist learning.  At its height, Nalanda
                                                           reportedly housed over 9 million manuscripts and was
                                                           home to around 10,000 monk students, including renowned
                                                           Chinese monks such as Xuanzang and Yijing.
                                                               In addition to touring the ruins of Nalanda Monastery,
                                                           the group had the opportunity to visit the modern Nalanda
                                                           University. The project to revive Nalanda University began
                                                           in 2006, initiated by then-President of India Dr  A.P.J.
                                                           Abdul Kalam. After years of planning and preparation,

                          程的第四天(28.10.2023),参访团乘搭长途巴士
                    行前往位于恒河河畔的瓦拉纳西。瓦拉纳西除了是印
                度教的其中一个圣城,也是佛教圣地,位于瓦拉纳西东北部的
                鹿野苑,就是佛陀第一次传授佛法于五大弟子的地方。
                       n the fourth day (28.10.2023), the group took a long-distance bus to Varanasi, situated on the
                   Obanks of the Ganges River. Varanasi is not only one of the holy cities of Hinduism but also a
               significant Buddhist pilgrimage site to the northeast of Varanasi lies Sarnath, where the Buddha delivered
               his first teachings to his five main disciples.

                                                           访团在第五天早上(29.10.2023)到访西藏高等
                                                      参研修中央学院,该学院副教授Dr  Jampa  Samten
                                                  介绍学校背景时表示,该校主要是修复及翻译佛教经典和文
                                                  学,尤其是西藏经典。他也带领参访团参观图书馆和多媒体
                                                  工作室,解释如何翻译经典作品,以及将作品电子化处理。
            Dr  Jampa  Samten  解释修复、翻译和电子化佛教经
            典工作。                                  参访团随后参观了五比丘迎佛塔、答枚克佛塔和鹿野苑考古
