use words that define repentance. It speaks of love and joy
for those who have the Holy Spirit. Also, those who have the
Holy Spirit are considered Saints and Priests in God's eyes.
“The Church” is the Spiritual “Body of Christ,” which means
all those who have received the Holy Spirit. We are to repent
of our sins even as we follow Christ. The Holy Spirit enables
us to do so. “Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.”
Matthew 3:8 ESV.
Also, Christ said, “Ye shall know them by their fruits.”
Matthew 7:16 KJV. He also says to abide in Him and bear
fruit, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in
me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for
without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5 KJV.
finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” John 19:30
ESV.
Also, the Catholic Public Domain Version (CPDV) in Acts 17:30 states,
“And indeed, God, having looked down to see the ignorance of these
times, has now announced to men that everyone everywhere should do
penance.” However, according to the KJV w/Strong's Numbers, the
Greek New Testament in Acts 17:30 uses the word metanoeō (G3340),
not penance, which changes the meaning. Acts 17:30 ESV states, “The
times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people
everywhere to repent.” https://www.biblestudytools.com/esv/acts/17-
