7 May 2025 Abbott UK Company Car Handbook3 ADMINISTRATION OF COMPANY VEHICLESCars will be supplied and maintained by the nominated fleet supplier which is currently Arval UK.It is important all drivers understand that they are expected to take an active part in controlling costs and driving safely. It is the driver%u2019s responsibility to ensure their company car is maintained in a serviceable and clean condition and within the servicing schedule laid down by the manufacturer.Whenever a car is returned for replacement or disposal, it must be presented in a clean and tidy condition to Arval or their nominated representative. Cars are covered for social or domestic purposes and for the business of the Abbott Affiliates in the UK.All Abbott permanent employees with a company vehicle can drive another Abbott provided vehicle where necessary.The policy does not cover:%u2022 Use for the carriage of passengers for hire or reward.%u2022 Use for racing, pace making, trials, rallies or any other competitions.%u2022 Use in providing driving tuition.%u2022 Using the vehicle for any other business purposes other than those undertaken on behalf of Abbott. %u2022 It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure the vehicle is secure.%u2022 There is no cover for personal/Abbott possessions left within the vehicle. You should not leave laptop/mobile phones/IPad at any time in the vehicle.Hire cars arranged through Arval will also be covered in lieu of a company car, for coverage of any other vehicles, permission must be sought in advance from Christina Harbour (Christina.Harbour@abbott.com) who manages the Company Insurance.Arval UK, FMG, and the Company hold insurance certificates should they be required.
