7 - Profiling³ in Leadership: Motivating Employees and Teams to Perform at Their Best
               Improve handling of employee types

Profiling³ provides you with information about the special skills,
strengths and weaknesses of your employees. This enables you,
as a relationship manager, to respond to them individually - as
shown by an example in which we assume that you are dealing
with a fiery-red employee. To do this, proceed in three steps and
take the following tips to heart.

                • Step 1: Visualize personality traits: Take a close look at the
character traits and behaviors of the red employee. For this
purpose, use the descriptions you have learned in the
meantime. After dealing with the red employee, you know
that he can accept feedback well and define it as what it is.
This employee rarely feels personally attacked because he
usually has a strong sense of self-confidence. In addition, he
is generally very fact- and task-oriented, professionally
committed and likes to stay up to date. He follows ac- tual
developments and always stays "on the ball". In our example,
we also assume that his determining drivers are the
individualistic and the theoretical drivers. His striving for
                   independence is therefore strongly pronounced.

                • Step 2: Tips for managing the fire-red employee: You can
now assess the fire-red employee quite well and use this
knowledge in various management situations. Very
                   important here:
