Vogelhuber, Scheelen - What people really want

Always consider your own personality structure and the
effect of your personality on the personality of the
                       employee.

                    • Step 3: Do not generalize: Keep in mind that in reality there are
mostly mixed types and there is rarely the pure red or yellow
employee. That is why it is necessary not to use one-
dimensional strategies in dealing with an employee, but to
combine them in a meaningful way.

Incidentally, this also applies to your dealings with your
superiors, who can also be assigned to a personality
type. Use your Profiling³ knowledge to get along better
                     with your manager.

                   Tip 1: Show leadership

Be self-confident when dealing with the red employee. He may
calmly know that it is still you who is the boss. The dominant fire
                   red sometimes forgets this.

However: Even if you are the superior - a redhead always needs
a reason to give someone his undivided attention. That's why you
should motivate him by proving, for example, that the acquisition
offensive that's coming up soon will help him to make his mark,
to succeed, to try something new and to prove his independence.
Then this employee will quickly catch fire and will be committed,
passionate, and dedicated to the task at hand.
