MULTIFAMILY EXPERIENCE
LIGHTHOUSE COMMONS AT FLORIDA
SOUTHWESTERN STATE COLLEGE
The Florida Southwestern State College Lighthouse Commons project, built
for Collegiate Development Construction, included the new construction of a
four-story 167,573 square foot residential hall located on the Lee Campus of
Florida SouthWestern State College in Ft. Myers, Florida. The facility houses
122 apartment units with 405 beds for students. The residential hall was
constructed of a concrete masonry unit wall with precast hollow core plank
floors. The project also featured suite style rooms with private bedrooms,
bathrooms, and shared kitchens as well as community areas consisting of a
fitness center, recreation room, study rooms, basketball and volleyball courts,
barbecue grills, and a dedicated parking lot. Due to CORE’s experience
constructing higher educational facilities, the Florida Southwestern State
College Lighthouse Commons offers students an on-campus community for
personal development and collegiate success.
