Helpful Hints to Wellness
E ating Habits
• Anyone who works long hours knows how important it is to stay nourished and how missing a meal can
make you less productive.
Beverages: Employees should always have access to water to stay hydrated (Purity Life has water
coolers conveniently located through all work areas), particularly if they work outside or are on their
feet a lot of the time. Coffee and tea (Purity Life provides coffee at a discounted price of 25 cents to all
employees located in the lunchroom) can be a helpful way to start the day or to avoid an afternoon lull.
Having fresh orange juice available at work can be a good addition to a basic breakfast.
Snacks: Snacks are important for getting employees through rough patches during the day when their
blood sugar might be dropping. A few pieces of fruit and wrapped snacks like granola bars or trail mix
will provide you with a quick burst of energy (Purity Life has vending machines in the lunchroom offering
healthful and tasty treats).
