Performance Assessments
Performance assessments are provided to all employees, usually within in the first quarter of the new calendar
year. The Evaluation Session is a summary of your overall job performance since your last evaluation. You and
your Department Manager will discuss your performance and reach an agreement of the results. Major changes
in your responsibilities, promotion, or a significant change in the way you do your job will be considered during
evaluations and documented accordingly. Performance assessments will also grade employees on how they are
          living the company’s core values.
          New Hires Performance Assessments
Individuals who join the Company six (6) months prior to December 1st will participate in the Company’s performance
assessments and may or may not be entitled to January 1st pay increases (subject to Manager’s approval).
          Probationary Period for New Employees
It takes time to determine if a new relationship will work out. Your employment with our Purity Life team is no
exception. During your first three (3) months of employment (or otherwise stated in the employment contract),
either you and/or your Manager may end the relationship without notice or as stated in the employment contract.
This probationary period allows the employee and the Manager to decide if it is a good fit within our organization
without any hard feelings on either side.
          Pay Equity
Purity Life uses the McDowell Job Evaluation Method in order to comply with the Pay Equity Act as well as to
provide our employees with a fair and equitable compensation scale. All positions are assigned to a pay grade,
by a pay-equity committee, using a points-assessment process. Each pay grade has an associated pay scale,
which includes a minimum, mid-point, and maximum salary amount.
          Annual Raises
We review all wages annually for January 1st of each given year, subject to change based on management
approval. The amount of increase is dependent on relevant necessary pay-equity adjustments, your job
performance, and available funds only. There is no raise guarantee; however, we do our best to reward for
          performance.
          Personnel Records
Your personnel record must be current and accurate to ensure you are eligible for all benefits and to enable
Purity Life to contact you if necessary. Please notify the Human Resource department of any changes in
your home address, telephone number, marital status, life insurance beneficiary, number of dependents and
educational status. Complete form (Personal Information Change Form) located on the Purity Intranet under Site
          Links: Forms/Policies/Procedure.
