Company Seniority

Company seniority starts with the date of hire as a regular full-time employee and continues to accrue until
employment is terminated. The company seniority date is used for accrual of vacation benefits, vacation
scheduling and service awards decisions where seniority should be given preference.

There will be a rolling deadline for vacation requests where seniority will be utilized for approval purposes.
After the deadline date, it is first come first serve.

Deadlines will be as follows (subject to change based on fiscal year):

Vacation date (week starts in): Deadline date
Q1 = Jan 1, 2016 – Mar 31, 2016	  Q3 = Sep 30, 2015
Q2 = Apr 1, 2016 – Jun 30, 2016	  Q4 = Dec 31, 2015
Q3 = Jul 1, 2016 – Sep 30, 2016	  Q1 = Mar 31, 2016
Q4 = Oct 1, 2016 – Dec 31, 2016	  Q2 = Jun 30, 2016

Parameters:

	 • Seniority will be applied for the first two weeks of vacation requested. Employees with more
		 than two weeks entitlement requested time will be approved on a first come first serve basis.
	 • Blackout periods will apply during all CHFA trade shows and months ends within some department
		 of the Company. Department managers will administer this. Please refer to Company Intranet
		 for these dates.
In cases where two or more employees request the same vacation time, the following seniority
tiebreaker rules will apply:

	 • First, the employee’s hire date will apply for seniority purposes.
	 • Second, the employee with a positive vacation accrual bucket is granted requested time.
	 • Lastly, if seniority is still equal at this point, the employees date of birth, giving the oldest
		 employee more seniority.

Vacation (Salary Employees)
Vacations are important and encouraged. They provide the opportunity to enjoy a change of pace from daily
work and routines.
Purity Life’s vacation year runs in line with the regular calendar year, January 1 to December 31.
Vacation times are scheduled each year based on approval from Manager and the business needs, by department,
allowing for and ensuring reasonable department coverage at all times. Vacation entitlements are presented
to employees in January of each year, and employees are expected to select their vacation time for the year
by March 31st of each year. If vacation time is not chosen by March 31st, seniority privileges are removed
and vacation is provided on a first come, first served basis.
