A healthy workplace is a happy and productive workplace. Employees work most effectively when they are
well, and wellness is more than being healthy. It’s important for employees to feel a strong sense of overall
wellness—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Employers and employees should work together to create
a healthy working environment.
Purity Life currently has the following programs in place and is continually looking at new
ways to improve our workplace. We have also developed a committee “MAD4U” - Making a
Difference for You, that brings our core values to life by driving company initiatives, health
& wellness, engagement and social events.

Program #1

Health: Short- and Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance
All full-time employees (working more than twenty-five [25] hours per week), are eligible to participate in
our accidental death and dismemberment, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance benefit package.
Please see your Group Insurance Plan booklet for complete details regarding eligibility and coverage.
The cost of all benefit premiums are covered by Purity Life. Employees are responsible for paying the entire
Long-Term Disability (LTD) premium through payroll deductions. Employees pay this LTD benefit, therefore
ensuring it is tax-free if you were to become disabled. Employees taking any kind of leave (i.e., short-term
disability, maternity leave) are required to make premium payments to the Company in advance of their leave
for this LTD benefit.

Program #2

In-House Massage Clinic
Purity Life sponsors an In-house Massage Clinic. The clinic offers Massage Therapy and Chair Massage.
Employees are eligible to participate in the program once they have been with the Company for three (3)
months and provided they work more than twenty (20) hours per week. Alternatively, an eligible employee
may send their spouse or dependent to participate in the clinic. Each eligible employee may enjoy up to
twenty-two (22) sessions a year, in which the Company covers half (½) the cost of the treatment. All treatments
may be enjoyed during working hours, within the guidelines set out by each department. Arrangements
are made that Purity Life pays the practitioner and deducts half (½) the cost from the employee’s next pay.
Finally, new employees may enjoy their first treatment of their choice FREE of charge!
Those working outside head office may use other practitioners offering the same treatments. Purity Life will
pay up to half (½) the cost, but not to exceed the cost of the treatment being offered at Purity Life. Purity Life
will cover half (½) of the cost of up to a maximum of twenty-two (22) appointments per year per employee
(or spouse, partner, or children).
