“I’ll show that man a thing or two!” he said, and he started to blow.
First the man hugged the coat more tightly, but Jeremiah blew harder,
and HARDER, till the man was bouncing along, spinning and crunching
into things. “Ouch! Ow! Ow!” went the man. He tried to grab things as
he went along, but grass came out in his hands, branches snapped, and
rocks started to roll. Eventually the coat was ripped and shredded off
him, and Jeremiah watched in satisfaction as the ambulance came to take
the man to hospital.
“Told you I could get it off!” he said.
The sun was in a grumpy mood now.
“I could have BURNED it off!” she said.
“Yeah, but you would have cooked the man alive! At least I didn’t kill
him!”
“You broke nearly every bone in his body!”
“He’ll live,” said Jeremiah the wind.
