Co-op RHSE Site Inspection and
Safety Conversations
Every Co-op construction project will have at least 1 RHSE Inspection and 1 Safety
Conversation carried out over the course of the project. Longer projects will have these
inspections carried out every 4 weeks.
Inspections and Safety Conversations provide assurance that contractors involved with
projects are working in accordance with legislation, their management systems and Co-op
specific standards.
The inspections will be carried out by the regional RHSE Managers/Advisors and the
Safety Conversations by the Co-op Project Managers. These will involve a site tour,
observing the works that are being undertaken, examining the conditions of the
site/welfare facilities and an examination of the documents and records relevant to the
works.
Please give the RHSE Managers/Advisors and Project Managers your full co-operation
during these visits and also provide them with any feedback you think is relevant to the
project or Co-op’s standards.
You will be given a score before the RHSE Manager/Advisor or Project Manager leaves
site and a thorough debrief will be carried out afterwards, so that remediation of actions
can commence immediately.
