do a voluntary reposition and return the car to the dealer. When I left
the dealer, I went home and just broke down again. I just knew I was
doomed. I could not even afford a car, and I did not know what I
would do. I was becoming overwhelmed and the panic attacks began
to appear regularly.
Daddy's medical bills and expenses had also become
unmanageable and I began to manage his finances, so I knew he was
in no position to help. I called him, distressed, and the first thing he
said was, "Giselle, come and get my car. It may not be much, but it is
all I have." I went home the following week and picked up his 15-year-
old Crown Victoria Ford with over 100,000 miles and prayed the
entire time that it would not break down. Of course, Daddy used his
hook-ups to make sure the car was road-ready and placed four new
tires on it. The Crown Vic was God's answer, I would not have a car
note and I could get around.
We had finalized a settlement with the bimbos for $10,000 each.
The trial was scheduled for March and we could not afford to spend
any more on attorney fees. The trial would just continue to add to the
debt, even though I so badly wanted to face all three of them. By
settling with them, knowing we would close our doors in April and
just add the settlement to the bankruptcy, meaning that not one of
them would receive any money, was just as satisfying. They did not
seem to care about the number of people affected by this bogus
lawsuit. So, after all of this, they still would not get any money; there
