was no money. I truly believed they thought they each could get
millions of dollars. When all was said and done the company and I had
a debt of $400,000.
Once Tyrone gave me his resignation, it sunk me to another low.
I felt so alone, and I still had to continue to make some major
decisions. Closing the business meant the bank was on us for the
$250,000 loan owed. We had both collateralized our residence for the
loan. This meant I now had to go back to crazy Leroy and inform him
of the business closing and we would have to sell the Jasmine Place
property to repay the loan.
I was also preparing for the event in March with our client for the
1700-person conference. To prepare for this conference I reached out
to my sister circle to assist me in processing the registrations and
providing onsite services at the conference. A week before the
conference, crazy Jerome had contacted the client and informed her
of our closing. The client contacted the Contracting Officer and was
truly angry I had not informed her of our situation. I had to have a
meeting with them the following day to assure them our closing the
business would not affect the performance of the contract. I provided
an outline of how we were going to manage the registration list and
the onsite registrations. I had arranged to have almost 20 people on-
site to manage the registration. Once they were comfortable with the
game plan, we continued with preparing for the conference the
following week.
