bright red. As we proceeded to the meeting, the owner read to Sara
my memo and Sara sat there acting like she was in shock. I became
adamant about not having her as my immediate supervisor and that I
did not trust her. The owner knew my contract was ending and did
not want to make a change. I felt I had won even though I did not get
what I wanted. The point was being able to put Sara on notice that I
knew her game.
From that day forward, Sara and I had an unspoken arrangement,
she would not mess with me and I would just ride my time out on the
contract. The one thing I learned as I traveled through those previous
companies, every company has a weakness. Understanding Sara's
limitations, which were TLM's weakness, I began to capitalize on the
weakness. Sara depended on temporary staffing to keep the division
running. Seeing that, I began to put my plan in action. I became Sara
and Jane's best friend like nothing ever happened between us.
Earlier in the year, I met a business owner who ran a business
center out of one of the hotels, we frequented. The name of his
business was BSI, BSI services included reproduction services and
temporary staffing. I cut a deal with the owner, I could arrange for his
company to obtain all the reproduction services from TLM, but he
needed to hire me for temporary staffing. If nothing else I understood
how events were planned and there was a lot of reproduction for
participants meeting packets. I also understood the closer the days to
