4.0 EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
Hercules will periodically review the benefits program and will make modifications as appropriate to the company's con-
dition.
4.1 Eligibility for Benefits
The first of the month after 60 days of employment, a full-time employee will be eligible for all of the benefits described
in this handbook as soon as you meet the eligibility requirements for each particular benefit. If you are a part-time em-
ployee, you will have access to specified benefits, please see outline.
Please see each individual Summary Plan Description for each benefit for details regarding eligibility requirements, and
for information concerning when that particular benefit will be made available.
Temporary employees are not eligible for any benefits.
4.2 Employee Housing Discount
All employees are eligible for a 20% discount from market rent if they qualify to live on a Hercules Real Estate Services,
Inc. community. Lease terms are not to exceed 12 months and must be renewed annually. There are additional re-
strictions if an employee desires to move into a tax credit unit. An Employee Rent Addendum must be signed with rent
being paid through payroll deduction. If employment is terminated for any reason, rent will automatically increase to
current market rent.
4.3 Recognized Holidays
Hercules recognizes the following holidays as paid holidays:
New Year’s Day Memorial Day Employee Birthday
Independence Day Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day Thanksgiving (Day After)
Christmas Eve Christmas Day
In order to receive holiday pay, you must be present at work the scheduled day preceding and the scheduled day follow-
ing the holiday, unless otherwise excused by management. The holiday calendar will be distributed and posted on the
self-service portal for all employees indicating the holidays that the company will observe.
*Employees are not eligible to receive holiday pay when you are on a leave of absence.
