4.4 Funeral (Bereavement) Leave
Once you have completed your introductory period, you are entitled to take up to four workdays with pay to attend a fu-
neral or handle personal matters related to the death of a member of your immediate family. Immediate family members
are considered spouse, parent, child, grandparents, siblings, mother in-law and father in-law.
In the case of other (non-immediate) family members passing and close friends, at the discretion of your immediate su-
pervisor, you may be entitled to two days of unpaid leave to attend funeral services.
You will be responsible to furnish your supervisor/manager with information in the form of a copy of a death certificate,
services program or obituary information for formal documentation in the granting of your leave period upon return.
4.5 Election Day
We encourage you to exercise your voting privileges in local, state, and national elections. You are encouraged to vote
before or after regular working hours. If it should be necessary, you may take up to two hours unpaid leave from work
to vote in a governmental election. You will be expected to notify your Supervisor.
4.6 Jury Duty
All full time regular employees who have completed their introductory period and are called to their civic duty to serve
on jury duty will be eligible for reimbursement by the company for the difference in pay between their regular wage and
compensation awarded by the state for jury duty, not to exceed eight hours in a day up to five days maximum.
