STATEMENTS
CODE OF ETHICS
It is the expectation of Renbrook School that its employees and Trustees will uphold the highest standards of
ethical and professional behavior. In accordance with the mission of the school, the standard of conduct shall
include the following:
Personally:
• Serve with courtesy, compassion, and commitment.
• Treat with respect all persons, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age,
disability, national or ethnic origin, and marital, maternity or family status.
• Act in a way harmonious with the School's mission statement. Exercise what discretionary
authority one has under the law to carry out the School's mission.
• Avoid any actual or perceived behavior that is in conflict with or will compromise in any way one's
official duties, and/or will compromise one's ability to ethically carry out the School's mission.
Professionally:
• Hold paramount the safety, health, and welfare of the School's constituency, employees, and
the public in the performance of professional duties.
• Conduct organizational, operational, and reportorial duties with professional competence, fairness,
efficiency, and effectiveness. Maintain open communication and honesty in all interactions.
• Professionally support and collaborate with all School employees and Trustees. Refrain from
competing unfairly with others.
• Respect and protect confidential information to which one has access in the course of one's
official duties.
• Strive for personal and professional excellence and encourage the professional developments of others.
• Demonstrate to others the highest standards of integrity in order to inspire trust.
Institutionally:
• Demonstrate to the community-at-large that Renbrook employees are honest, respectful,
compassionate, competent and dedicated.
• Keep the community informed about issues that affect it.
• Respect the structure and responsibilities of the Board of Trustees. Provide the members with
facts and advice upon request. Uphold and implement the Board's policies.

EDUCATIONAL ACCOMMODATIONS STATEMENT
Renbrook School is not a special needs school and is not equipped to provide individualized educational
programs for students with severe physical, cognitive, or mental disabilities. The school does comply with the
Americans with Disabilities Act and will make reasonable accommodations to known disabilities of a student to
assist the student in meeting the academic and behavioral performance standards of the school. Parents of
students needing such accommodations should advise the Divisional Head; the school will undertake an
interactive process, involving parents, health care providers, and school faculty and staff to determine
appropriate accommodations. Such accommodations may include restructuring work assignments and/or
modifying the testing environment. No accommodations shall fundamentally alter the school's educational
