Keens Elm
It has been a vintage year in Keen’s Elm. We began
with a week of team building and induction,
getting to know one another as well as the house
routines and systems. Our start-of-year camp at
Kingweston was a little wet, but the boys returned
tired yet happy, having built strong connections
and laying the foundations for the all-important
house ethos and culture. They have embraced
the sporting, academic, and co-curricular
opportunities available to them, and the house
team has been consistently impressed by their
enthusiasm and engagement across all areas of
school life.
This year’s highlights have included a sandcastle
competition on the beach, caving in the Mendip
Hills, paintballing, and a festive ice-skating
trip at Christmas. Within the house, the boys
have supported one another and continued to
strengthen the sense of community that makes
Keen’s Elm so special.
The boys have made firm friendships during their
time in Keen’s Elm, and we wish them all the very
best as they embark on the next part of their
Millfield journey.
Kernick
In true Kernick fashion this year has been full
of the most varied opportunities, keeping all
the girls challenged, engaged, and entertained.
Whilst some took part in a number of trips to
enhance their academic subject knowledge,
others trained doggedly to win significant
sport competitions, and incredibly some did
both! Juggling studying, training, and relaxing
times both in and outside the boarding house,
students seized every opportunity going
their way to make the most of their Millfield
experience. Sadly, another year has gone
by, but amazingly a plethora of long-lasting
memories and friendships have been made!
