HOUSES
Portway
In classic Millfield fashion, this year has been
another busy one! We have been participating
in the new House Event days, and it has created
some wonderful afternoons of Portway pride
around the campus. The girls have fought their
matches well to win the netball, football and
rowing just to name a few. Students have worked
hard to balance their academic schedules with
both their busy sporting and co-curricular lives, as
well as participating in charity work, volunteering
Duke of Edinburgh and much more. We have had
many social events this year, including pizza nights
with Joans Kitchen. The Fruit Feasts and the house
BBQs always remain a highlight, even when it
rains! Well done to all the girls and many more
successes to come.
Shapwick
Shapwick has had another really good year
and the boys have thoroughly enjoyed their
time in the house. Steak night seems to be
Shapwick’s USP, although other houses have
tried, steaks are still being cooked on a cold
December night. All this protein has again put
us towards the top of the junior and senior
leaderboards and the boys have enjoyed the
new House Event day format. The jamboree
of events is great, and it has been super to
see so many involved. There continues to be
a very good spirit here in the Wick, and the
relationships between juniors and seniors
continues to thrive which makes Shapwick a
very special place to be.
