Kingweston
This year at Kingweston has been truly special
– a year defined by camaraderie, laughter,
and a deepening house spirit. From the
unforgettable House Song performance to
curry nights, socials, silent discos, treat nights,
and weekend adventures, the boys have
thrown themselves into every opportunity.
The now-legendary backyard cricket league,
our Saturday steak braais, and spontaneous
games of manhunt have brought joy and
togetherness in equal measure. The 21 new
joiners have been a fantastic addition, settling
in seamlessly thanks to the inclusive and
welcoming culture that makes Kingweston
feel like home. Our boys have shown heart
in competition, humour in challenge, and
kindness in community. The spirit, pride, and
support they offer one another is exceptional.
To crown it all, as we move into the next
academic year, we proudly celebrate five
school prefects one of which has been
awarded Captain of School - a powerful
reflection of the leadership and character that
runs through the heart of the house.
Martins
Martins may be under new ownership, but it has
continued to thrive, welcoming a wave of new girls
while maintaining its hallmark academic focus and
drive. The year has been rich with opportunities to
challenge and entertain, including numerous trips
that have sparked academic curiosity. Sporting
achievements have been impressive across riding,
netball, modern pentathlon, swimming, and
badminton. Despite not topping the house sport
rankings, the girl’s spirit and authenticity shone
through. Their ability to balance academics and
sport has been inspiring. The year concluded
on a high with Upper Sixth Elise winning the
Bunce prize. We wish our Year 11 and Upper Sixth
students every success ahead.
