HOUSES
Mill
The Mill House students are friendly and
welcoming. New students settle in very quickly,
supported by the senior students who help set
the tone for all. There is a great atmosphere in
house and a good balance of work and play; be
it catching up on prep, revising and preparing for
exams, or relaxing with friends or enjoying friendly
competition in the table tennis, pool, or FIFA. We
have students that perform at the highest levels
in sports and music as well as those that excel
academically. We've had a good run of results
this year in house matches, winning senior rugby,
House Song, rowing and hockey. Ice skating at
Christmas is becoming a tradition and is enjoyed
by many. House Managers arrange for us to have
various treats throughout the year, from bacon
baps for breakfast to cookies, doughnuts and ice
creams. Mill House is very much a home away
from home. To those that are leaving us, the very
best of luck for the future, I’m sure you’ll look back
on your time at Mill House with fondness.
Millfield House
It has been a superb year for the Millfield
House boys who have thrown themselves
with great enthusiasm, dedication and good
spirits into all of our activities. Each boy will
take away their own highlight from the year,
whether that be an academic achievement,
a particular performance on the sports field
or the stage or perhaps even beating their
Housemaster at ten-pin bowling! Ice-skating
in Clark’s Village proved a fun adventure and
the most popular pursuit of the summer term,
a social game of tennis in the evening sunshine
after prep, was enjoyed by many. The end of
year camp in Cornwall provided experiences
and memories the boys will cherish, but most
importantly the camaraderie and kindness
displayed by all across the year has been key
in forging lasting bonds and friendships.
