                 While the neuroglial/support cells help to

            support the neurons, there is another component


            which has a major effect on the health of the

            neurons. This is the extracellular matrix (ECM).


            The ECM is found in the spaces between the

            neurons and the support cells. It is an environment

            made up of fluids and fibers designed to keep the


            neurons healthy and functioning properly.

                 Research studies have shown that changes in the
