3.         Microglia:  These are actually cells of the


                    immune system.  These help clean out any

                    bacteria or other microorganisms as well as


                    dead tissue from around the neurons.  Think of

                    them as a combination of housecleaner and

                    exterminator. They work to keep the


                    environment around the neurons clean and safe.

                    4.     Ependymal cells:  The neurons in the brain

                    are very fragile and need a very specific fluidic


                    environment in which to survive and prosper.

                    The fluid which surrounds the neurons in the


                    brain is called cerebrospinal fluid and it is the
