Parkinson's disease. If the astrocytes - which
both feed the neurons of the substantia nigra
and keep potentially dangerous chemicals away
from these neurons - were to work less
efficiently, how would this potentially affect
Parkinson's disease over time? Do you see
why it is necessary to look beyond just the
functioning of the neurons?
