a) Develops and conducts / facilitates training programs, workshops, briefings / orientation
sessions with program implementers, cooperators, and other school constituents to propagate
awareness of social issues, concern for the need of others, and a strong commitment to
participate in community development and social change and to delineate specific roles and
functions in the course of their participation in community engagement services programs.
b) Coordinates and attends meetings with local government officials, community leaders, and
volunteers of selected partner communities on the mechanics of implementation, particularly
on the definitions of roles and responsibilities, in the implementation of community extension
service programs.
c) Conducts capacity building and sills development programs for beneficiary communities,
organizations, and groups so that they can effectively manage their own projects and activities
related to CES involvement of the Institutions.
d) Ensures the preparation of project proposal for the different CES programs, projects, and
activities for possible assistance; provides technical assistance, with the support of others
institutional constituents, to beneficiary groups in the preparation of their project studies.
e) Review financial transactions of beneficiary communities and groups availing of Institutional
funding to ensure viability of projects and financial solvency of the enterprise projects; provides
guidance to these groups on financial transaction with the help of Finance Department officers
and staff and business administration / accountancy faculty.
f) Monitors activities of cooperators to guide them toward the performance of agreed functions
and responsibilities related to the CES project.
g) Coordinates with the heads of the different academic departments and programs regarding to
the involvement of faculty and students in social advocacies; coordinates, as well, their
participation in community extension service programs and on the integration of community
service and social responsibility concerns in the academic curriculum, particularly on the
National Service Training Program and the conduct of community-based research activities.
h) Arranges the administrative departments of the Institution the provision of administrative and
logistical support requirements in relation to project implementation.
i) Develops implementation framework, coordinates, and monitors institutional participation in
humanitarian and charitable endeavors.
j) Networks with identified partner agencies and establishes linkages with external organizations
for collaborative projects and for the possible generations of technical and financial assistance
on community extension programs and projects.
k) Represents the College in meetings, conferences, training programs, transactions and
negotiations related to the main CES thrusts and advocacies of the Institution.
C. College Academic Director
The College Academic Director is a member of the Executive Member Committee.
He/she oversees the college operation of the Institution. He/she leads policy development
in student learning, academic programs, teaching, research, and related student success
areas. Typically reports to top executive officers. The College Academic Director manages
