(j) Evaluates faculty members’ performance through classroom visitation / observation,
review of examination questions, and monitoring of student feedback.
(k) Designs, undertakes, coordinates, and evaluates faculty development programs such as
orientation programs, conferences, seminar-workshops, on-the-job or in-service training,
etc. aimed at upgrading the Faculty’s competencies and consequently, teaching
effectiveness.
(l) Monitors faculty attendance and punctuality, assigns substitution for absent faculty
members, and schedules make-up classes as necessary.
(m) Disseminates information to faculty members and students on concerns such as
departmental rules, policies, regulations, and information on recent developments within
the department by way of memoranda, circulars, bulletin board postings, and general
assembly meetings.
(n) Represents the institution in off-campus meetings and conferences that relate to the
specific academic program to which assigned.
(o) Participates in the planning, update, and implementation of guidelines governing the on-
the-job training / practicum training.
(p) Negotiates with industry partners to ensure the accommodation and placement of
students for on-the-job / practicum training.
(q) Participates in the following major activities:
i. Conduct of productive scholarly research by the college constituents
ii. Organization and implementation of community extension service programs
iii. Preparation of requirements for certifications, accreditation / re-accreditation / and
upgrading of accreditation.
(r) Performs other duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior.
Coordinates with: Student Affairs Office, GCO, School Nurse, Registrar, HRDMO,
Safety and Security Officer, Property Custodian, Facility Services Supervisor, Technical Support
and other services staff.
D. College Administrative Officer
The College Administrative Officer performs administrative support duties common to
academic teaching departments as determined by the department head and works with a limited
number of administrative processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
(a) Provides comprehensive support to the College Dean;
(b) Manage office supplies stock and place orders;
(c) Check daily attendance of faculty and coordinate with the HRDM office;
(d) Prepare regular reports on expenses and office budgets
(e) Maintain strong communication between Dean of Academic Affairs, faculty, staff, and
students;
(f) Maintain and update college databases;
(g) Organize a filing system for important and confidential college documents;
(h) Maintain a college calendar and schedule appointments;
