(l) Work with school leaders to communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
(m) Develop and maintain departmental budget.
B. Dean
The Dean is responsible for the organization of and conduct of instruction, research and
community service activities of the College in accordance with the Institution’s mission and goals.
He/ She is appointed by the School President for a term specify by the Executive Management
Committee subject for reappointment if ever. He/ She reports directly to the College Academic
Director.
Duties and Responsibilities
(a) Oversees the formulation of academic policies and procedures for the College, secures
approval from superiors, and issues rules and regulations for their effective
implementation.
(b) Directs, coordinates and supports the work of administrative officials and staff, faculty,
instructors and students;
(c) Supervises the preparation of the curriculum content of the various course offerings of the
College; submits the same for the approval of the School President; undertakes regular
review and update of the curricular offerings to ensure relevance to changes in and
requirements of the external environment.
(d) Performs the principal budgetary responsibilities of the college, both for budget
preparation and for proper execution of the budget;
(e) Recommends to the School President appointments of Program Head;
(f) Recommends to the School President the hiring, appointment, promotion and separation
of faculty, and support staff in close coordination with the Head of HRDMO;
(g) Articulates the vision and direction of the college in all undertakings;
(h) Presides over regular and special meetings of the College Administrative Council and
faculty meetings;
(i) Serves as a member of the Scholarship Committee in administering scholarship and
financial aid;
(j) Meets the Program Head of the college and other administrative officials on a regular
basis on administrative and academic matters and on implementation of the College’s
policies;
(k) Identifies faculty development requirements according to the priority needs of the college,
and recommends the same to the School President;
(l) Identifies faculty in-service training and formation programs according to the priority of
the college and recommends the same to the School President;
(m) Prepares and endorses lists of candidates for graduation to the Office of the Registrar;
presents candidates for graduation during the commencement exercises; signs the
diplomas of the graduates.
(n) Participates in the deliberation on academic honors and special awards for graduation
based on the Institution’s standards and guidelines.
