they can afford to. In this very book, we have also revealed our hand that
carbs are the government’s way to feed people cheaply.
We have two friends who broadly fall into this category. The one seems
perennially hungry and is not all that thin. She has amazing hair (not a strand
of grey for her age), and incredible skin, and she’s pretty. She admits to going
on carb binges every so now and then, and always ends up regretting it.
“Carbs make me feel terrible. I get bread gut, and I feel flat and energy-less.”
She is probably very healthy on the inside. But, like we said, not that thin…
we know a couple of vegan/vegetarian people who fall into this category.
Another of our friends tends to eat mostly vegetables and other stuff (and
only occasionally a little bit of chicken), and swears blind that milk is
exceedingly bad for you and actually leaches calcium from your bones
instead of being a source of it. She is perennially ill, so we have to, again from
empirical observation, take what she says at face value.
She loves butter, which she refers to by its French name, beurre. Of course
raw vegans won’t touch butter, while some people believe that margarine is
the far less healthy of the two options, since it is practically made of plastic.
This is not to say there are not lots of very healthy vegetarians and vegans.
Again, if this is your conviction, then far be it from us to stop you. Go forth
and graze! Raw veganism is the healthy part of veganism
Also, not all veg meals are expensive and time-consuming. We have a
fantastic range of vegan and vegetarian options for eating plans, with or
without pasta and other carbs. They are quick, easy and delicious.
In addition, our meals will ensure that you get enough vitamin B and iron,
which can often be lacking in vegan-based diets.
