  300g rump, salad and baked potato = 845 calories
              200g of spaghetti Bolognese and a side Greek salad = 750 calories
              1 slice of chicken pie with salad = 650 calories

        Here are some eating plans that we suggest you try before a workout, that
        will optimise your body for exercise, so you have the energy, but you are not
        undoing  all  the  calories  you’re  burning  in  the  gym  by  just  putting  them
        straight back on.

        Our  focus  here  is  to  hammer  home  the  importance  of  nutrition.  If  you
        exercise, you need to eat correctly. But if exercise is not your thing, then BTC
        Eating Plans has you covered. We still recommend that at the very least you
        go  take  a  nice  walk  in  a beautiful  garden  or  on  the  beach  at  least  three
        times a week. If you use supplements, or enjoy juices and smoothies, and
        consume more protein than most, we also have plans that will tick the boxes
        for you.

        So, we are giving you a high-protein breakfast for the energy to go to the
        gym, and then also a smoothie option. For other smoothies, please refer back
        to the chapter on vegetarian & vegan.
