Releasing the driver is not always a simple matter therefore the use of the "A"
Frame and stabilising lifting bags can buy time to ensure the pilot is released
without further injury. Dynamic risk assessment of the situation by SQEP
Osprey personnel will produce the safest method of transfer from cockpit to
ambulance.
8) Upon recovering the pilot the Osprey boat will transfer them on a stretcher
to the emergency evacuation point and hand them over to the UIM doctor and
on-site ambulance team.
9) On completion of the transfer of the pilot, the Osprey Team return on station
until required, or until the event is completed. After the event is completed the
team return to the jetty and recover the boats from the water.
