DATE: 8 SEPT. 2019 DROP DOWN DAY
MORNING SESSION GIHS GREEN YOUTH
RAISING
ENVIRONMENTAL
AWARENESS
On 8 th September 2019, GIHS students had an
incredible time during the second ‘Drop Down
Day’. It was designed to strengthen our
curriculum and make student learning more
effective and relevant. The DDD activities offered
a chance for self-reflection and deeper learning
by encouraging students to ‘internalise, think and
ask questions.’
‘Drop Down Days’, also known as ‘off-timetable’
days, replaced the structured classroom
lessons with activities used to strengthen
students’ practical application of skills and
provide a deeper learning experience. DDD
activities were also utilised to help students build
confidence and public speaking skills.
The second Drop Down Day facilitated to raise
awareness about the environmental issues.
The GIHS Green youth is thus working and
helping to make a difference in building a
positive and sustainable future.
