GRADE 9-B

                              PLASTIC POLLUTION

GIHS utilized Drop Down Day to frame the classroom’s theoretical
discussions within real-world contexts, giving students a chance to
develop relevant skills, such as dealing with excessive stress. It
helps students to explore their own creativity and innovation on
respective topics. It is held annually where students identify the
possible solutions to various issues which need resolving across the
       globe.

The main affair which particularly attracts plenty of interest
currently is pollution. It is not just any pollution, a pollution which is
a gateway to other conflicts; plastic pollution.

This year, students from class 9-B had a variety program on this
Drop-Down Day depicting how plastics affect our day to day life. It
began from awareness speeches which made their way to creating
models and finally ornamenting their ideas into chart work.

Few exhibited the silent deaths taking place in marine life. The deep
underground in the eyes of the ocean is out of our sight. While some
made use of thrown out plastics and recycled them into forming the
corals found on the ocean floor, others made chart works which
helped to realize the silent cries from the very ground we stand on:
not to mention the clearing of the trees just to turn them into
landfills and dumpsters to deposit plastic waste.

Nevertheless, it was considered as a rich experience where
teachers and students harnessed knowledge about conserving our
       environment and its importance.
