SISC’s SCHOOL POLICIES for K-12 and IB
RATIONALE
Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) believes that the education of a
child is a process wherein parents and the school jointly and strongly collaborate to
align their goals and maintain consistency in their educational strategies. One effective
medium of achieving this is COMMUNICATION; therefore, SISC implements varied
ways by which parents can read, appreciate, understand and abide by school policies
and the student manual.
One communication tool is the Students’ Diary where students write their daily
assignments and a summary and reflection of their activities for the day. Likewise,
teachers write their comments in the Diary. Other forms of communication are the
Parents and Students’ Bulletin which is issued every week and posted on the school’s
official website, the Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC), Sponsorship Meeting,
Parenting Seminars, and other school activities that promote a closer relationship
between the home and the school.
In order to strengthen the collaboration of parents, students and the school, and to
further promote student welfare and develop school harmony, this policy statement
provides Parents/Guardians of Preschool to IB Students with the guidelines, rules and
regulations of Southville International School and Colleges for compliance and
guidance.
