DIVISION
This Division plays a major role in the BPLD as it is the sole custodian of all records of business permits, whether
physical or electronic copies, in the city.
There are two sections under this: 1) Management Information System Section and 2) Records and Archiving
Section.
Aside from maintaining a centralized records management system, the Management Information System
Section also maintains and develops the Information Technology capabilities within the department. It is
responsible for the development and enhancement of existing programs including the automation of permits
application and records digitization.
It provides technical support for department-wide and staff office applications and leads in the digitization
process of all business permit records and files.
On the other hand, the Records Archiving Section takes charge in receiving, recording, and maintaining a
systematic filing of business permits (new, renewal, and amendment) and other documents. It also issues
certified true copies of business permits and certifications upon request.
