ENFORCEMENT AND
ADJUDICATION DIVISION
A crucial role that the BPLD plays is to ensure that orders are enforced, and if problems arise, properly addressed. This
is the part of the Enforcement and Adjudication Division.
There are two sections under this: 1) Enforcement Section and 2) Adjudication Section
The Enforcement Section is responsible for serving directives, summons, orders and other relative issuances. It also
implements Cease and Desist Orders and Closure Orders to erring business establishments. These are compiled by the
Section into a periodic report submitted to their heads.
The role of the Adjudication Section is to adjudicate violations of business establishments in the conduct of their
business operation and other legal matters that involve compliance with the Quezon City Revenue Code and other
applicable laws, ordinances, issuances, and rules and regulations.
It also prepares demand letters, cease and desist orders, revocation, cancellation notices, closure orders, and other
correspondences and reports. Part of its role is to also evaluate and monitor compliances submitted by business
establishments pertaining to summons and orders issued.
Aside from providing technical assistance to the BPLD Head, the Section is responsible in filing dockets and other legal
references pertinent to the conduct of business, procedure and process of securing permits as well as documents of
legal nature. In case further evaluation or action is needed, the Adjudication Section refers cases to the City Legal
Department.
