PD Card Operation
4.6.11. Multiple Triggers
When multiple Triggers occur on the same measurement set, then the measurements
saved will have flags set for all Triggers that occurred. For example, if the FLH Time-Based,
High PD Level, and Load Dependence (C1) Triggers all occur on the same measurement,
then the measurements will appear in PDView as shown in Figure 4-10 below.
Figure 4-10 Example of Multiple Triggers in PDView
NOTE:
The User Defined Trigger is an exception to this rule; when a
measurement causes multiple Triggers including User Defined, it will
appear twice in the database; once for the User Defined Trigger, and once
for all the other Triggers.
NOTE:
Due to the way that the PD Level Triggers operate, it would be unusual to
have multiple PD Level Triggers from the same input on one
measurement. If this occurs, this likely represents a sudden increase
(over the course of a few minutes) of PD levels.
4.6.12. PD Trigger Example
Consider Figure 4-11 below; it represents a simplified timeline for an asset with the
operating point and the Qm levels for a single sensor. If the GuardII+ was first installed at day
0 and the voltage rating of the machine is 13.8 kV (making the Time-Based Trigger intervals
30 days), what Triggers will occur over the 60-day period shown?
