both out...would we have had time? I know why he sacrificed himself, it was the
only definite way we would succeed with minimal casualties. But that still

“It’s four in the morning!” I say out loud.
Another few knocks motivate me to stand up and I walk through my kitchen
to reach the door.
“Ya, ya I’m com-” I stop and stare.
A tall man in an all black trench coat with an unmistakable emblem of a
dragon on his chest is outside my door.
“Kimille Taylor, or more commonly known as The Glitch, the Department
of Ballistics Intelligence, would like to thank you for your services.” The man
begins adjusting his sunglasses like a douchebag. “Your team Deviants was well
suited to taking down the laboratory and saved many lives from the torture that
your father would have done.”
“Okay, I’m gonna stop you right there, what the hell?” I urge placing my
hand up to shut him up.
“Excuse me…?” he starts.
“Ya no, none of that, get out of here.” I blurt.
The man shoves past me and enters my apartment.
“What do you want, the Department only ever annoys people when they
need something?!” I angrily shout, slamming my door.
“Ma’am please relax, we only want to talk to you about your team, your
friends have already been gathered.”
“Gathered? What’s going on?”
