“After the unfortunate death of Lucas Blade, we assumed you took

command of Deviants based on your relationship to him so I’m here to make you a

deal.” The man monotony explains while rummaging through files.

“Ya, okay but I’m not even a part of them anymore, you’re looking for my

sister, not me, so can you please get out of my house?” I retort.
“The Element was already retrieved a few hours ago and said you were in

charge and that we couldn’t execute this mission without you.” He states with the

same expressionless face that’s beginning to annoy me.

“Get out of here.” I demand, letting my eyes glow white to scare him.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” he smiles ripping the gun hiding in his

jacket out and shoots it at me.
I materialize a shield and block his bullets. I glitch behind him kicking him

behind the knees and elbow his head on the way down knocking off his stupid

sunglasses. I grab his gun and point it at him instead dropping my shield in the

process.

“Get out!” I scream.
The man just groans in response and a third party begins clapping from

behind me.

Chapter 5

“You’re a sick bastard Elaine!” I glare at my twin, who is still clapping.

“You haven’t trained properly in what, a month, and can still kick an armed

mans ass? I’m proud.” Elaine beams walking over to me and gives me a hug.
