a- Set out the goals:
In this point, a letter of sponsorship must be specific i.e. it
should be written clearly for reflecting its goal. The letter should
be accompanied with a sense of purpose for convincing people
that the event or activity is worth giving money or time. This can
be realised by determining the event's importance. Printed fliers
can be attached to the sponsorship letter for giving a background
on the event or the company/organisation itself e.g. its date of
foundation, its owners, its clientele, any achievements it made
and any awards it received. This will provide a real credibility
and makes the other party eager to support the event and ready to
sponsor it.
b- Specify what you need:
Sponsorship can take plenty of different forms. Before
writing a sponsorship letter, it is important to be specific in what
you want; Cash or in-kind donations i.e. the donation you need is
a cash money or donation given in the form of goods or services
and not money.
c- Specify what you can offer:
In order to get a sponsorship either from a company or
person, it is important to get them convinced about sponsoring
the event. This can be realised by explaining how sponsors will
