e- Consider the tone of writing:
Like any kind of business letters, letters of sponsorship
should always be professional, not too informal and not
containing words that are more suitable for use in speech than in
writing.
If the sponsorship letter is addressed to a business or
another organisation, it is important to choose a formal style. If it
is addressed to a friend or close relative, a less formal style can
be utilised. However, the letter should not be so casual.
f- Consider the proper format and layout:
A typical letter of sponsorship utilises the format of many
business letters. So, the right structure should be utilised in the
letter, or it will look unprofessional.
For making a professional request, it is important to put the
letter on formal letterhead that has the logo and name of your
company/organisation. If you want a sponsorship for yourself,
you can create a professional letterhead that includes your name
at the top and written in a formal font.
In the first paragraph of the letter, you should introduce
yourself or your company and explain its activity, its
accomplishments and talk about your event in a clear way.
In the second paragraph, you should make the direct
request for sponsorship and explain why it is needed.
