a "temporary visa."
This is God's final message to all who are ready to
leave:
• ". . . be not entangled with this world. . . ."
• "Love not the world, nor the things that are in the
world."
• "Set your affection on things above, not on things
below. . .
• ". . . beware of the sin of covetousness."

S. Learn How to Handle Bad News!
Bad news is now epidemic. We hear news daily of
crises, calamities, and shocking mayhem—and we shrug
our shoulders and sigh, "What's next? Now I've heard
everything."
One hardly has to be reminded of all the bad news
we've been subjected to in recent months—kidnappers,
energy crisis, shortages, famine, skyrocketing prices,
Watergate, economic confusion, uncontrollable crime,
drug addiction, killer tornadoes, landslides, earth-
quakes, and moral landslide.
We must also face a barrage of bad news in our per-
sonal lives. A dear friend calls to request prayer—he
has been informed by his pysician he has cancer in

his kidneys. A minister friend is rushed to the hospital
after a massive heart attack. A loved one dies suddenly.
A Christian worker suffers a bashed skull at the hands
of a street gang. A Christian brother faces bankruptcy
and the loss of everything he has. Grandmother is
stricken ill. A mother weeps over a teenage son recently
jailed for drug abuse—she begs for your prayers. Two
close friends file for divorce—and you cringe at the
thought of all the deep hurt their children will suffer.
Like it or not, the bad news keeps coming on, and
there is no way to escape it. The Bible says, "The good
man does not escape all troubles—he has them too. But
