generation to generation. Thus the very process of creation all over the universe, is
actually an upsurge of the, inherent bliss in the Cosmic Life Force. Just as the festival of
bliss manifests all over in the form of Nature's creation, similarly, the festival of bliss is
also celebrated by living beings, knowingly or unknowingly, through the very process of
living their lives through the sense organs, the organs of knowledge and internal organs.
Nature, thus, celebrates the festival of bliss through all these organs. In fact, the truth is,
that bliss manifests itself by the process of seeing through eyes or by hearing through
ears but Man through his mistaken notions, attempts to obtain joy through the scenes
his eyes see or by hearing songs through his ears. What is true about the process of
seeing and hearing is equally true in respect of the process of the rest of the organs. This
aspect can be clarified by an example. A man who is blind right from birth, literally
experiences the bliss of the highest order, when after successful surgery, he acquires the
faculty of sight, which enables him to see everything. Howerver a person who has the
faculty of sight, does not enjoy such a bliss because since birth he has had the ability to
see. The well known saying that "familiarty breeds contempt'' is rightly applicable in this
context. This person never realises that sight is an extraordinary gift with which he is
blessed by God or Nature. As such, he has neither any admiration nor is he overjoyed by
the blessed faculty of his vision. However if a man having vision, loses his faculty of
seeing for some reason and later regains it by a successful surgery, then he will surely
dance with joy for having regained the faculty of vision. This analysis is equally
applicable to all other organs. The truth in fact is, that Man who is blessed with this
intrinsic bliss, manifests joy in the process of living life by projecting joy through the
various organs. Unfortunately Man is ignorant about this vital truth and wastes his entire
life in search of happiness, instead of experiencing the elixir of bliss in the very process
of living his life.
Inherent Bliss
This aspect needs to be clarified further. As stated earlier, the intrinsic nature of
life is in essence 'SATCHIDANAND SWARUP' (सच्चचदानंद स्वरूप) which means that the
intrinsic nature of human being is a combination of the three features namely, eternal
existence, pure consciousness and bliss. In other words life is 'Satyam - Shivam -
Sundaram.' Briefly, life is endowed with pure bliss. However, Man is not even aware of
his inherent bliss. The main reason for this is that, Man, in a very miraculous manner,
has forgotten his intrinsic bliss due to amnesia as a result of which he has lost his
intrinsic bliss in himself. However, the nature of Man is to search those things which he
