Rotenone is a naturally occurring isoflavone insecticide obtained from
many members of the legume family.
Uses:
Pesticide and insecticide.
Tamoxifen
It is a non-steroidal agent with potent antiestrogenic properties. It works
by interfering with the effects of estrogen in the breast tissue by competing
with estrogen for binding site in breast and other tissues. It competitively
binds to estrogen receptors on tumor cells, decreases DNA synthesis.
Tamoxifen is used to treat breast cancer that has spread to other parts of
the body (metastatic breast cancer) and to reduce the chances of breast
cancer in high-risk patients.

Flavonolignans
Flavonolignans are the major bioactive components presented in the Milk
thistle (Silybum marianum) standarized extract known collectively as
silymarin, family Asteraceae. Silymarin, is an isomer mixture of silibinin,
isosilibinin, silicristin and silidianin. Flavonolignans are composed of
a flavonoid unit (taxifolin) and a hemi-lignan unit (coniferyl
alcohol),linked together by an oxeran ring to form silybin.
