An important meeting was held early on an August morn- ing in 2022. It took place in the office of the Newfound Coun- try Store. Four family members huddled in the tiny, windowless space. They were intent on making an important decision about their future and the fu- ture of the store they had run for almost two decades. Of the four, Holly Kerouac held the key vote. She was the store’s proprietor. The other three fam- ily members each contributed to the store’s operation. Of the three, Amanda Thomas, as the store’s General Manager, would have the most influential voice. Also participating in the meet- ing were Craig Hall (Holly’s husband and owner of Hall’s Excavation) and Craig’s oldest son, Ryan.
A growing clientele and shelves overstuffed with products for those shoppers prompted the need to reassess the adequacy of the store’s size and configuration. Ironically,

The Stars

It’s time to mark your calen- dars, everyone! Voices against Violence’s event, “Dancing Under The Stars,” will take place on Thursday, July 20th, at Kelly’s Park in Bristol, NH. People from all over can come and enjoy a fun night filled with dancing, music, and entertain- ment. Dancing with the Stars will feature different couples from the Newfound area com- peting in an epic dance compe- tition to raise money for Voices Against Violence. The couples have local dance professionals working with them to put to- gether epic routines to provide some excellent entertainment for the viewers. The pairs will be performing their two-and-a-half to three-minute performances in front of three judges who will decide who the 2023 Dancing
