               TACHOMETER INOPERATIVE



















                     GENERAL  Tachometer See Figure 8-13. The tachometer receives a tach signal from the ECM at the Speedometer connector [39]. The tachometer interprets the signal and converts it into tachometer needle  DIAGNOSTICS  Diagnostic Notes See  Figure 8-14. The Tachometer is connected as shown. Table 8-4 specifies connector type and location.  The reference numbers below correlate with circled numbers on the following tachometer diagnostic flow charts. If problems are intermittent, wiggle harness while per-  forming tests. See 2.5 BREAKOUT BOX: SPEEDOMETER in the Soft- ail Electrical Diagnostic Manual.
