7.8 Issue for Unable to Power Off

The status of unable to power off:
01. Auto power on few seconds later after switch off.
02. Switch off but reset.

03. Switch off but F.F. (some voltage not switch off)
(The AMD series M/B unable to shut down usually happens on the power doesn’t
follow the power sequence to switch off.)

7.8.1 Auto Power On

System auto power on few seconds later after switch off:
01. Enter CMOS setting, and check Modem Ring On function in Power Management
Setup. Make sure the setting is Disabled. Then, try to power off again.

02. If Modem Ring On is disabled and the system can be powered off, the defect could
be caused by Modem Ring On circuits. Then, try to measure signal –RI in impedance or

voltage to find out the defected parts.
