ATTENDANCE ACCOUNTING CODES USED IN THE DR REPORT
The following codes can be found on the campus Daily Register (DR) for the student attendance accounting process and
indicate the student’s individual attendance activity:
“#” (i.e. “1”) Indicates the entry code used for a student beginning in the school/class on the date of enrollment;
“A” Indicates a student is not present for the “snapshot” roll call on a specific date.
“.” A dot indicates that the student was present for the “snapshot” roll call on a specific date.””
“W”- Indicates a withdrawal of a student from the campus/class or district.
ENTRY DATE
For the purposes of calculating ADA funding (2nd period or official attendance accounting period), a student cannot be
reported absent on either an entry or re-entry date.
In the event of an audit, the “official attendance accounting period” (i.e. the student’s attendance during 2nd period)
will validate a student’s entry date .
Reminder: If a student enrolls BEFORE the official attendance accounting period, his entry date is that day. If he enrolls
AFTER the official attendance accounting period, his entry date is the FOLLOWING school day even if he attends
afternoon classes on the date he completes the paperwork for enrollment.
