VACATION, SICK LEAVE, AND OTHER TIME OFF
Molzen Corbin has established a program to allow its employees paid time off for personal
time (whether pleasure time or other personal time) and illness. This program of paid leave
is provided as a benefit to all full-time employees. To implement this program, Molzen
Corbin has created “banks” to which time will be credited for each of Molzen Corbin’s
regular, full-time employees. The time credited in employees’ accounts is for the sole
purpose of allowing that person paid leave under the circumstances set forth below.
A. VACATION LEAVE
All full-time, regular Molzen Corbin personnel will accrue 3.08 hours per pay period
of paid vacation leave during the first 10 years of association with Molzen Corbin.
Vacation leave is accrued from the date of employment. Vacation leave may be
accrued to a total of 120 hours.
After completion of 10 years of full-time, regular employment, an employee will
accrue 4.62 hours per pay period of vacation leave. Individuals fulfilling the 10-
year, full-time employment requirement may accrue up to a total of 160 hours of
vacation leave.
Individual vacations are arranged at the convenience of the individual and the
Company. Insofar as possible, an employee’s Supervisor will approve the vacation
leave time requested. In the event of conflicting requests submitted at the same time,
preference will normally be given to the individual with the greatest seniority.
We must also schedule time off with the entire staff and our assignment deadlines in
mind. Therefore, employees are asked to make anticipated leave plans known to their
Supervisor at the earliest possible date. Leaves of a week or more require a month’s
notice except in the case of emergency. All efforts will be made by Molzen Corbin
to avoid requiring an individual to change vacation plans, but we cannot guarantee
our workload will not necessitate an occasional change.
Employees who are requested by Molzen Corbin to delay taking time off, or are
prevented from doing so by compelling circumstances, may accrue vacation leave
beyond the accrual limitation but only with prior approval from their respective
Department Leader. Accrual of vacation leave in excess of established accrual
limitations must be requested in writing by the employee and approved by the
respective Department Leader and submitted to the Human Resources Department.
